Happy Veterans Day! We have almost 20 million veterans living among us. Some, you would never suspect. Did they do a ‘all veterans stand up’ at church yesterday? There are always those you never suspected.
Almost 10 million of those vets are over the age of 65, about 2 million under the age of 35
Some things you can do today to celebrate Veterans……..
- Strike up a conversation with a vet and learn about their story.
- Fly an American flag.
- Support veteran-owned businesses.
- Today is also a great day to make a donation and help our homeless veterans across our country which is a growing problem.
- Wear a red poppy… “On Memorial Day and Veterans Day, millions of red crepe paper poppies—all handmade by veterans as part of their therapeutic rehabilitation—are distributed across the country in exchange for donations that go directly to assist disabled and hospitalized veterans.”
