FCA Sends 100,000+ Campers Back to School with Gospel Message to Share with Peers
As Classes and Sports Start Soon, Students Can Share Gospel at School Through FCA ‘Huddles’
As students head into a new school year, they have support from the Fellowship of Christian Athletes(FCA, www.fca.org), whichis ready, willing and able to provide student-requested resources for efforts that will allow Christ to change the lives of their peers.
FCA is helping share—through students on campus—the saving grace of Christ with:
- Small gatherings called Huddles (a growing movement at schools across the country)
- Early morning Bible studies
- Student-led Fields of Faith gatherings, happening Oct. 9 on athletic fields nationwide.
On the “Get Involved” section of the FCA website, students can learn about more opportunities to bring an FCA presence to their campus.
FCA is wrapping up its 2019 Camps season, with nearly 800 events in the U.S. and internationally this summer that reached upwards of 100,000 campers. This summer’s Camps theme, “Let’s Go,” based on Matthew 28:18-20, focused on the fact that believers serve a strong God, and how His followers are called to be like Him in every area of their lives—including sports. The coaches and athletes who attended FCA Camps discovered that polishing their athletic skills is important but strengthening their faith in Christ is crucial.
