God gives us all talents and abilities. He gave James, who lives in Denver, the ability to build.
James said he saw a woman waiting at a bus stop sitting in a dirt and thought… that’s not right. Now, what he could have done is complain to the city government and demand action. But what he did instead is start building benches and placing them at the bus stops with no seat options.
He says, “We all deserve respect, no matter our station in life, no matter our mobility choices, no matter what we’re doing. Waiting for the bus is one of the things that we do in life, for somebody like me it’s an inconvenience. For other people, it’s a real health consideration. And so I started making benches and put them around town.”
Each one is made of scrap wood and each of them has two words, “Be Kind”.
